This is McCartney on Valentine's Day. She made cards with a sucker attached for her friends at school that said, "You can count on me when things get stiiicky!"
Note: McCartney is wearing the Joe's jeans Aunt Bean bought her for Christmas. It took just over a month to talk her into jeans. She is very picky about her clothes and even insistent. :-) I'm already fearing what 13 will look like.
This is one of my favorite school notes. A lot of times McCartney asks her teachers to write us notes asking for fruit snacks or more strawberries, but this one is classic. The other day we got another note that said McCartney went up to her family picture hanging on the wall of her classroom and sang the whole "I love you" Barney song to our picture.
McCartney drew this, handed it to me and said, "it's a mouse." I was like, "It is a mouse." Probably an accidental mouse, but I'm sure she's a gifted artist. :-) She loves to draw faces and her whole family.
Last month she was looking at a painting and said, "Mommy, did you see the these colors? It's gorgeous."
One of my favorite things McCartney has started to do is think about other people. A few months ago, I had a late dinner with friends at Sara's so Ted put McCartney to bed before I got home. When I got her up in the morning and she said, "Did you have fun at Sara's?"
