A Very Merry Christmas

McCartney has made all the holidays more fun and Christmas was no exception.  We spent a lot of time getting ready for Christmas - decorating the tree, shopping for presents and talking about "baby Gia" in the Nativity scene.  I repeatedly explained that it's baby Jesus, but a classmate of McCartney's just got a newborn sister named Gia, so you can see the confusion.
An elf came to our house to visit and McCartney named him, "Elf."  He watched over us to make sure we were being good and reported back to Santa nightly.  If ever Teddy and McCartney were a little naughty, they would run up to the Elf's shelf and say, "We're being good Elf!"
She learned all about Santa and her wish list got longer and longer as we shopped for her cousins.

We went to Topeka before Christmas and got to spend a couple of days with Niney, Pappy, Em, Joe and the boys!  It was so much fun to play with them!
Two babies!!

Niney refurbished our old baby bed and gave it to McCartney with a new doll and handmade clothes.  McCartney and Leo both loved it!

We were back in Columbus by Christmas morning so we visit with Bean and Greg and of course be home for Santa's visit.  Santa brought McCartney a keyboard and real fish (thanks Bean!) which she named Nemo and Dorothy.  Ellie's incessant barking at the fish made me think we were going to have to choose between the dog and the fish for a while, but things have calmed down now.  The dog can stay.

We went to Nana and Gramp's house for breakfast and more presents where McCartney had to suffer through minty grapefruit before sausage casserole with the rest of us.  We got to play with Rob, Michele, Austin and Coleman too.
McCartney got "all the princesses" as requested from Nana.
Below are two sleeping beauties.  I guess having all of your Christmas wishes come true is just exhausting.
