Kindergarten!

First day of Kindergarten!  It's finally here.  She has been so excited about becoming a Tremont Lion!
Ted and I did not cry but we did get a little teary when she put on her backpack and looked so big!  Our little girl has become so witty and fun.
Up until a few days prior to Kindergarten she wanted to be a princess when she grows up, but today her board says she wants to teach dance and work at Build A Bear.  She's never been to Build A Bear, by the way.

McCartney learning to use the smart board with her teacher, Miss Potts.

Ted takes Miller to daycare and then drops McCartney at Tremont where she lines up in the gym with her old and new friends.  He cracks me up everyday when he texts me McCartney's quote of the morning.  The other day he was teasing her about something and she looked at him and said, "Do you even know how to talk?"
This morning she said, "My bracelet is only magical for people who are good to it and you sir are not."

Beginner Ballet

McCartney's dance style is really more jazz crossed with hip hop but we are starting with ballet.  It's a right of passage for little girls, right?  She seems to be the only one in the family with rhythm so we are excited for her.
She wanted a picture of her bun.

A family portrait

Cheers!

Cutest Boy!

"Daddy shooos."
Do we think he likes Mac n' Cheese?
Cutest littlest legs.  He leans and watches tv like a little kid.

Middle of summer and he chooses his fleece, hiking shoes and sissy's helmet.
New bike!  "my biiike"

Surprise! Disneyland

Newport Beach is 30 minutes from Dinseyland, so we knocked it out in 1 day folks!
Disney. Check.

McCartney was so sweetly captivated.  She wanted to do everything and the things she loved we did over and over.  We must have rode the carousel 6 times.  We rode Goofy's crazy roller coaster at least 3 times and walked through Mickey and Minnie's houses 3 or 4 times.

8.6 New Surf Project

Tim, my instructor.  He was my favorite So Cal bro.  Toes to the nose!

I thought I was awesome when surfing with Tim.  I was like, "I'm a natural!" Apparently he was body surfing behind me and stabilizing my board.  When I got out there on my own, I was like, I have no idea what I'm doing.  Ted and I tried our hardest though!  And we loved it.
The highlight was seeing a dolphin about 10 feet from my board.  It was so amazing at first, and then I freaked out and stared paddling as fast as I could towards shore.  That's a big mammal.

Not the only artist in the family

"A carriage, a coachman and a horse."
I would say so.

California dreamin'

West Coast!  Our new favorite place to vacation.  We can't wait to go back to Newport Beach's waves, blue sky and perfect weather.

We stopped at Andrea McClain's adorable coffee shop just North of LAX.

Our view of Ted and Bruddy from Uncle Wes and Aunt Sue's living room window.

Newport Beach Pier.  And the sight of my first surfing experience.  McCartney LOVED the beach.   She and Ted collected shells all week.  Every morning she would wake up excited and say, "Can we go to the beach now?"  We'd walk there and she'd say, "ok, let's bury some feet!"

Miller learned to say his nickname on our trip.  He put his hand on his chest and said, "Brudee."
