First Haircut

Einstein, Christopher Walken, Kevin Bacon, Joe Dirt.... these are all comparisons to Miller's hairdo.  Finally at 6 months, after I had trimmed his bangs twice, I decided it was time.  Bye bye bouffant.

Take one last look, ladies.

Party in the back.

We needed to call in the experts so we went to my salon to see Camryn.

Robert Pattison's hair in Water for Elephants was the inspiration, but it turned out even cuter.  I didn't think that was possible.

Look-alikes

Mc turns 4!

McCartney is 4 years old!  It's hard to believe.  She wanted a purple sleeping bag but she said she would take whatever she got.  :)
She is extra sweet and smart at 4.  She loves to color and cut and glue and to make lists and write her letters.  She's just a little bossy and loves to play make believe.  She talks A LOT and uses big words like responsibility, personal choice and opportunity.  She loves the stage and is very into being introduced so she can sign and dance for an audience.  She's a wonderful big sister, she loves Bruddy Boy and a sweet sweet daughter.

When she got to school there was a sign for her and she took colorful cupcakes to share with her class.

Party prep:
The expert helped us make cake pops for her party!

Fresh Beat Band colored cake pops.  Her momma must love her.

Pirates and Princesses - McCartney's 4th birthday party!

McCartney insisted on having her birthday party at the park again this year and she was clear that she wanted a "mermaid party" with Fresh Beat Band colored cake pops.  She will never be accused of not knowing what she wants.  We decided to do a treasure hunt, so the mermaid theme turned into Pirates and Princesses.  We did a treasure hunt that led to the woods with Niney and Pappy dressed as pirates protecting the booty.  It was a gorgeous day and she had a great time!  She ran the entire time had a great time with her friends.  She especially loved playing with Lena and Grayson, who made a 2 hr trip to be here.

The Easter Bunny Delivered

We recently watched the movie HOP so McCartney was geared up for the Easter bunny and was hoping he was going to bring her a chocolate bunny.

Grandma's handiwork

McCartney put on her slippers in the morning in case the Easter Bunny left eggs outside, but since it was raining, the he hid eggs in the living room.  She was bright-eyed and excited and said, "He came!"  She hunted for eggs and even shared some of her eggs with Miller.  She gave him the "boy-colored" eggs.

When we went to church later that morning, she learned the real reason we celebrate Easter and she said, "Jesus died?  That's sad."
